Mawja Radio is a humanitarian collective working with radio and sound media production. We began in 2018 with Zaatari Radio, broadcasting with the war-affected community living in Zaatari Village.

Through radio-based workshops, we worked with young people from Syria and Jordan using radio as an educational tool and a means to broadcast alternative narratives of migration.

Since then, we have worked establishing an online radio and media lab in Amman, as well as projects in Palestine, Angola, Jamaica and the UK. Our work is youth-focused exploring creative and playful practices that challenge and transcend societal injustice.
